Super Mario 128 Event Match
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Event Match #22 is called "Super Mario 128." In this match, you fight 128 mini Marios (five at a time) with the character of your choice. By clicking the link (or image) you'll download a video of me playing through the match.
100's of Marios Shockwave Demo
Qubed created several Shockwave demos that simulate many Marios moving around. A couple are flat demos based on sprites from Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2, but another, called Mario RPG, most accurately emulates the demo. Up to 100 Marios can be put on a three dimentional plane that can be angled with the mouse. The plate can be either grass or pizza textured.
128 Mario's Fan Game
Conor Voss, a Mario fan at Mario Portal, created a game called "128 Mario's." That's were the similarities end. It is made up of three mini-games that mostly involve dodging projectiles shot by loads of Marios. Mario Portal has gone offline, so the links in this entry won't work. They are maintained for historical purposes.
